The Magic Kingdom

The boys rose bright and early for the Magic Kingdom. After a busy day at Hollywood Studios the day before, they were eager to finally see Mickey's castle (really, Cinderella's castle...but we've never watched Cinderella, so the boys think it belongs to Mickey).

Henry and Grandma played Star Wars until the shuttle came to pick us up.

Aboard the PeopleMover...one of Henry's favorite "rides". This 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland aboard a mass transit system of the future was the perfect pace for our Henry. And he got to eat popcorn out of my purse to boot!  (We had to sneak our popcorn...apparently the PeopleMover is meant to be a food and beverage free experience.)

Take that, Emperor Zurg!

Exhausted after defeating Emperor Zurg, we took a short break to enjoy some Mickey ice cream. Yes, we filled our boys full of junk food. It was vacation, after all.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

A circus-themed big-top tent and playground kept the boys busy before taking flight. And of course, Henry whispered that he "had to go potty" just as we were making our way to the end of the line. It truly felt like we were at the circus waiting in line (and running to and from the bathroom) for this ride.

Cousin Reid, poised and ready to view the parade. I caught him staring pretty hard at Cinderella.

Apparently, she caught more than just Reid's attention. Henry wasn't sure what to think. A real live princess?

Sam was more into the Beast.

Shortly after the parade, I had to pack my camera for the day. Tropical Storm Andrea made her debut and cut our day at the park short. But not before we all purchased Disney parkas and enjoyed a thorough soaking and good laugh.
