12 Weeks

Henry's first week with his nanny, Candice, is going smashingly. Candice is a doll and is more than we could have hoped for. She is wonderful with Henry and seems to be getting along just great.

Last night things got wild and Henry partied in his stocking caps. We tried them all on...note how exasperated he is by hat numero tres.

(I believe he's outgrown his Tigger cap...)

Our little poke.

Exasperation sets in...

Check out Henry's hand-me-down from Lesa Dawn! We love our OshKosh overalls.

And, yes, we still like to be swaddled whilst sleeping.

My head, my head, watch out for my head!

I promise I didn't tell, Grandma!

Week 11

Henry has been learning new tricks this week. We caught him rolling over from his tummy to his back...and he's working on the reverse. Handsome Henry has also been enjoying ample tummy time this week. His neck and back are getting so strong! Because he enjoys sitting up so much, we got him a new chair - the Bumbo, which I understand is a must have. Our biggest adventure this week was putting on pants this morning for church. Henry's first pair of pants without snaps...it was a two person job getting him into them.

Winding down after a long day.

Testing out our new Bumbo.

Test #2.

Who, me?

2-month Well Baby Check & First July 4th

Henry had his 2-month well baby check-up on July 3. He weighed 14 lbs and 1 oz...and measured 25 inches long. Dr. Wilsey warned that if Wade wanted to wrestle with Henry, he better do it NOW! I asked if we should be worried about Henry's size and how much he's eating...told her I didn't want to end up on the Dr. Phil show with a morbidly obese child. Dr. Wilsey assured me that while Henry is eating more than the average bear, he is also much larger than the average two month old. He is well proportioned - Henry is in the 95th percentile for BOTH height and weight. Yowzers! She said not only is Henry perfectly healthy, but "he is so handsome"! Tell us something we don't know, Dr. Wilsey...ha! Before leaving Henry had to get his first round of shots...not fun. But he handled it like a trooper...and we had baby Tylenol to help.

For Henry's first Fourth of July, we gallivanted to Blackwell. Henry was napping during most of the fireworks, but sported his red, white and blue nonetheless.

Enjoying time with Grandpa

Stop it, Grandpa!

Grandpa is such a weirdo...

Just for Fun

We didn't quite make it to the crib...Henry is beginning to enjoy nap time, which was a real struggle for the first 8 weeks. We learned he likes napping on his side.

Does this shirt make me look fat?

We're teaching daddy how to use the camera so mommy can have pictures with Henry too.
