Christmas Shenanigans

Henry's first Christmas was as a hodgepodge of family, squeezes and new toys. It all started on the 20th when the Shaw’s loaded the CRV and high-tailed it to OKC. Henry got to meet his cousins from New Mexico and get reacquainted with his cousin, Miranda.

Mommy and daddy let me test out my new rocking horse early.

Next stop – Cushing. The entire Shaw family was reunited for a week of tomfoolery.

Who cares what's in the box, I got paper!

Ho, Ho, Ho, MERRY CHRISTMAS

What do you think it is, cousin Ricky?

Mom, there seems to be a knot here

Hey, Ricky - Do you think anyone will notice that I've surpassed my 6-9 month Santa suit, and that my diaper is sticking out?

We decided to attempt both houses, both days (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) again in 08. Henry was pooped. We are still working to get him readjusted to the normal routine.

Christmas Eve at Papaw's

Yo

98, 99, 100...whew, what a workout

Forward hoe to Blackwell, and to Grandpa and Grandma Ward's

You mean, Santa comes tonight?!

Good times with Auntie Ann

Grandpa! Check out my new Elmer Fudd hat!

Shhhhhhhh be vewy vewy quiet I'm hunting wabbits

I must have been good, Santa brought me a red wagon!

Grandpa! Stop turning around and pull!!

A Christmas morning snooze with Auntie Ann

Thank goodness for our red wagon and warm weather. We spent much of the following afternoons making circles around our Stillwater cul-de-sac. And when the sun wasn’t shining, we made circles around the house.

I love to laugh

This is my first attempt (okay, more like tenth) to upload a video to Henry's blog. Henry loves to laugh...sort of reminds me of that song in Mary Poppins. He always gets the hiccups...the harder he laughs, the more frequent the hiccups.

And please forgive the wacky noises from mom...count your blessings you don't have to see the faces I'm making.

Christmas at Great Grandmother Shirley's

The Saturday before Christmas, Henry visited his great grandmother, and others from the Ward clan, in OKC.

Bathing the morning of our big day. Henry wanted to look his best for Christmas at Shirley's.

Mid-morning snooze with Grandpa

Great Grandmother is a hoot!

Thank you for my new dinosaur book and cowboy motif, Grandmother

Smootches from Miranda

This is Diplodocus. Diplodocus has many spots, from head to tail he sure has lots!

And this one is Triceratops. He's my favorite. I like to sink my teeth into his shiny horns.

More pre-Christmas fun

Here kitty, kitty...

It's okay, Deuter. Mom wouldn't let me eat the ribbon either.

Kitty, you need a trim!

CHEESE

Henry and I traipsed to Blackwell earlier this month to help Grandma put up her tree. Henry provided the entertainment, while we trimmed.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the most handsome prince of all?

Wrapping presents for Daddy

Yummy, gold is my favorite!

But I love to eat ribbon???

Henry, dumbfounded, after I took away the choking hazard
