Team Dusty Dirt

Team Dusty Dirt (name chosen by the team of miniatures) had their first game last week. What a hoot! I knew it was going to be a good season when during the first practice, the coach asked everyone to run to first base, and they all took off in opposite directions.

The Players
(or, at least some of them...Game #2 is tonight...more action to come)

Down and Ready Noah

Fancy Feet Zoe and Pink Sophia

Wacky William

Who sometimes needs time to sit and regroup

Love his facial expressions

Coach Brandon, who I might add...has the patience of a saint

Third base coach (aka Dad) giving Henry instructions...or, promising him ice cream if he sticks it out another inning.

Henry's up!

We're still trying to determine if he plays left-handed or right??? He writes with his left hand, but seems to prefer throwing with his right. Quite a conundrum.

More coaching from Dad

Wacky William's turn!

Looking fairly confident as he steps up to the plate

At times, peek-a-boo around the fence was more entertaining for the boys...oh the attention span of a 5-year-old

And if the big kids had trouble focusing, you can be assured that asking Sam to sit still to watch was next to IMPOSSIBLE. Instead of peek-a-boo though, Sam prefered tag. He ran, and me and Grandma tried to catch him. The entire game. What fun! Not.

Catch me if you can!

Henry found it quite entertaining, which of course, just made Sam run faster.

Gotcha, Sam!
