Last fall Sam participated in Walk for Children with Apraxia of Speech. It was an initiative and awareness event spearheaded by a student who works at the OSU Foundation. Although Sam hasn't been diagnosed with Apraxia, he does receive speech therapies from OSU and so naturally, we wanted to do our part to help and give back. Thus, Team Sam was born. And we had many family and friends support Sam in walking Boomer on this frigid November morning.
A special THANK YOU to everyone who showed their support for both Sam and the cause.
Sam was PUMPED to learn he would be included in the medal ceremony. He was so proud. He may have been the smallest of the bunch, but his medal made him mighty.
Sam marches to the beat of his own drum. He reminds us daily to appreciate the simple things in life.

idk if I ever told you but Drew was diagnosed with Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia (which is a form of CAS) when he was 1-1/2 and didn't talk hardly at all until he was 3. He received speech services until he was 6. Oh the things we learn with our boys!
