Step 1: Move appliances to entry.
Step 2: Pull up old tile and sand...or, cover the entire house in six inches of dust.
Step 3: Lay mesh flooring - a "floating floor" ideal for Oklahoma clay and sandy soils. I understand the mesh allows for some settling and prevents cracking in grout and ceramic tile. Who knew?
Step 4: Lay new tile.
Step 5: Grout.
Step 6: Dust. Dust again. And dust yet again.
