Henry's First Birthday

Henry turned one on Saturday and had the biggest, baddest birthday bash in Wade Shaw family history. We had mommies and daddies, grandmas, grandpas, Life Group friends, nannies, babysitters, friends from T-town...we even had great grandmas and grandpas!

For his birthday, Mommy and Daddy got Henry a pool for summer swimming. And, bonus - when it's too cold for water, we can fill the pool with balls. The pool/ball pit was a hit.

Learning to share






Henry is actually very good at sharing. He went down for his morning nap before decorations or guests arrived and he woke to a crowded living room. Lucky for us, it was only a matter of time before he warmed up to the crowd and flashing cameras. He wore his smile the rest of the day.

Our friend Chrissy was kind enough to make Henry his first birthday cake. Didn't she do smashingly?! Henry was so excited that he did a little boot scootin boogie.

We ended the night with a bath in the big boy tub. Wade and I slip proofed the tub prior to Henry's entry.
