Paradise Valley and Pine Creek Trail

Saturday evening we made it to Paradise Valley and our home away from home for the next eight nights. This cabin was all that we needed and then some. ZERO screen or media time, more family game nights, new board games...we only gallivanted out once for dinner after reaching the cabin...meals were enjoyed as a family on the front porch in sweatshirts. It was heaven. I think the windows stayed open all day and each night we were there.

Pictures of our little piece of heaven on earth. (Photos admittedly stolen from the HomeAway website as I failed to take many great photos at the cabin.)

Like I said...heaven on earth.

Our dinner table.

Henry and Sam's room...they LOVED sleeping in the loft and sharing a room.

Thanks again to Brooke and Turnkey Property Management for making our stay in Paradise all that we imagined. If anyone is looking for a great place to stay near Livingston, you should check out the incredible properties that Turnkey manages. Amazing.

After driving through Yellowstone on our way to Paradise Valley, we opted not to return to the park on Sunday and instead found a beautiful hike near the cabin. Of all our hikes, Pine Creek Falls was one of my favorites. I was still nursing stiff joints and clinging to my compression socks after the half marathon on Saturday, so a short hike near the cabin was definitely the way to go.

On the way to Jackson, Sam found out he could take photos using his Nintendo. He was a picture maniac the entire trip. Needless to say, he's asking for a camera for his birthday on the 16th.

It took us over an hour to hike one mile. Every ant, every flower...it was all amazing to Miss Charlie. Oh to see through the eyes of a child.
