We kicked off our adventure in Vineyard Haven at our Bed & Breakfast - Charles & Charles.
Our home away from home.
The wildlife we frequently found out our front door.
And Charles & Charles wasn't the exception. Turkeys on Martha's Vineyard were about as common as Canada Geese are in Oklahoma.
The flowers on Martha's Vineyard were spectacular.
West Chop
I could spend my summer here. You?
Aquinnah
Near Menemsha Beach (where they filmed scenes from Jaws...
needless to say, we didn't get in the water)
Edgartown
Purple flowers, which we were told are a type of magnolia, are EVERYWHERE. They grow wild on the roadside, on the hills, everywhere you look, you find them.
Our last evening on Martha's Vineyard we returned to Menemsha Beach to watch the sunset.
This bride and groom spent the evening enjoying their first sunset together as Mr. and Mrs.
Vineyard Haven Harbor
Not bad for a summer home.
Next stop - Portsmouth, New Hampshire
